    It feels surreal to be writing this, but GlowDry is officially celebrating its 6th birthday! What started as a small light bulb moment  born out of frustration with the traditional fake tanning process has blossomed into a brand that’s loved by beauty lovers across the globe. It’s honestly been such a wild ride, filled with lots of  wins, countless losses, unforgettable memories, and the promise of an even brighter future ahead. We’re just 6 - we have a lot of growing up to do!

    2019 - I invested into 1000 brushes ot get launched - I was so so nervous when they arrived, I chose a greta manufacturer - they still make our powder brushes to this day.

    The Start of it ALL

    GlowDry began with one goal: to revolutionise the self-tanning experience. As someone who has spent over 3 years spray tanning I seen the frustrations, the dry time - the stickiness, the uncomfortable feeling!

    After a crazy tan-fail with my son - I asked myself, ‘why isn’t there a better way?’ That question led to the creation of Australia’s first fake tan drying powder—a product designed for comfort, convenience, and flawless results. It was an idea that resonated with so many of you, and that support gave me the motivation to continue expanding the brand into what it is today.

    The Wins

    From launching our best-selling GlowDry powder,  to refills and  to expanding into a full lineup of self tanning products, including our game-changing Glowbomb Tan Remover Bath Bomb and Natural Self Tan Mousse, there have been so many high points. Our mission to combine Aussie botanicals and a laid-back approach to beauty has resonated with our customers, and seeing our products in your bathrooms has been a dream come true.

    I’ll never forget the first time we saw GlowDry on Brittany Saunders instagram page and Skye Wheatley - we sold so many kits at this time. It’s moments like these that remind me why I started this journey.

    We worked with Brittany on a post when she went to Bali and then we spoke with Daily Mail - I walked into work the next day and had so many people mention the article - it was so cool the reach it had!

     

    The Losses

    Of course, it hasn’t been all sunshine. There were moments of doubt, especially when things didn’t go as planned. Like when we were so excited to launch on Beauty Bay - they made one order and never re-ordered despite me reaching out so many more times -it was heartbreaking!. Our early challenges with sustainable packaging and balancing growth with staying true to our values are tough, staying true to natural formulas and really making change but sometimes it doesn't give the same results as less natural products - thats always a work in progress, but they taught us resilience. I always believe that each challenge is an opportunity to learn and evolve, and GlowDry is stronger for it.OH we did have a bif one this year! A CEASE AND DESIST FROM MS KKW - that was fun! 👀

     

    Memories That Glow the Most

    One of my fondest memories and still my favourite to this day is seeing the outpouring of love from our customers who shared their "GlowDry glow-ups" online. It was a proud reminder of the community we’ve built—people who not only love beauty and tanning but also value comfort, clean ingredients and sustainability, and a little bit of Aussie magic.

     

    Glowing Forward

    So, where do we go from here? GlowDry is just getting started - we are ONLY 6. As we look ahead, sustainability is at the forefront of our plans, and we’re working on innovative new formulas that will continue to elevate your tanning routine. We have an interesting gradual tan in the pipeline and something that shimmers. We’re also eyeing new collaborations and expanding our product range to offer more multi-tasking, skin-loving products that fit your lifestyle.
